Facebook has changed its name. As of today, it is no longer Facebook, but Meta. The main reason for the name change is that the company is working on a number of interconnected virtual world products, explained company CEO Mark Zuckerberg.
“Our system will replace mobile internet in the next 10 years,” he claimed.

Meta’s main service, Facebook, will retain its name. This means that in practice, a change of name will have no effect on your activities on Facebook.
